Welcome to my Wikispace!
My name is Karly; I am a sophomore in high school. Often times I feel, as I assume many high school students do, that I don’t understand. I don’t understand many things, why I’m here, what my purpose is, sometimes who I am. I feel small in comparison to the world around me. As though the things I can accomplish in my life are so small in significance there is little point in doing them. I once heard a story about a college student and a professor. The student had failed to turn in an assignment, this would cause him to fail the course. When the professor asked him about it, his response was “Who Cares!” “But you will not graduate!” said the professor. Again, the student responded “Who Cares!” “How will you get a job, a house?” responded the professor. Again, the response was “Who Cares!” The student was right. If you do not succeed, you are the only one that will suffer. “What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” It is up to each of us to take our futures into our own hands, for we are the ones most affected. In each person, I strongly believe there lies potential for great things; we must first find the will within us to take the steps to make these dreams a reality.
